Should I follow the instructions in this post for help? (I'm not the most tech savvy so haven't done anything like this before, but I think I should be able to follow them okay). I don't really use IE but checked if it happened on there and it didn't seem to be, but I only checked for a few minutes. I've run scans again on Avast and Malwarebytes and it doesn't find anything now that needs removing, but it keeps doing it and I've no idea why. Sometimes it does it straight away, sometimes it stops after a bit.
After downloading Avast and running a scan it removed quite a bit of stuff, but now whenever I load up chrome I get the "threat has been detected" sound over and over. It seemed I was getting lots of malware and would usually just delete them from when they popped up through removing the extension or locating the file in a folder in program files (from the link in developer mode in the extensions bit). I've recently downloaded Avast on to my laptop (it's about 9 months old) as I was just using Windows Defender & Malwarebytes for my protection. Hi, hope I've posted in the correct place.
